Dr. Sharon Perry Fantini, vice president for institutional diversity, equity and inclusion at Iowa State University, will serve as the Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (CDEI) liaison to the Council on Research (COR) for the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). Dr. Perry Fantini is an active member of CDEI, and her expertise in DEI initiatives will support council collaboration and learning as the liaison.

The APLU CDEI offers forums for discussion of issues relating to best practices for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in higher education, while the APLU COR brings together leaders to share information and develop strategies in response to policies and regulations affecting research in higher education. Both councils provide thriving communities of experts, leaders, and practitioners who serve as a resource and collaborators with other APLU councils and staff to support the efforts of member institutions.
