These events bring together the campus community to engage in dialogue about current events and campus climate. Attendees are encouraged to participate in conversations where they can voice opinions, concerns, and suggestions in a safe environment.
Campus Conversations can include different formats. The first hour is dedicated to a presentation or panel, followed by small group discussion and open mic participation or moderated Q&A.
Each event is organized in collaboration with campus partners that bring their diverse expertise and insights to add depth and richness to the conversation.
Campus Conversations will take place virtually during the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.
Campus Conversation XII: The 2020 Presidential election - Moving forward together will take place on Wednesday, November 4, noon - 1:00 pm. Join Barb Wheelock from Story County Democrats and Judy Trumpy from Story County Republicans for a panel followed by Q&A. They will discuss their connection and experience with Braver Angels, an organization working on depolarizing and holding America together after the election.
