Amber Davis serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and Equal Opportunity, Margo R. Foreman, and Office of Equal Opportunity staff.
She returned to ISU from the Ames Community School District where she served as a Human Resources Specialist. Her previous experience includes facilitating staff workshops to help small business owners and nonprofit organizations with effective workplace communication. She has also served as a shelter advocate in Des Moines, Iowa where she connected survivors of domestic violence to resources and opportunities. Amber is passionate about communicating effectively and helping to ensure all people are treated fairly. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland but relocated to Iowa in 2012 with her twin daughters. She enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and writing poetry and prose.
Amber graduated from Upper Iowa University with a bachelor’s of science in Human Resources Management. She was an ISU student from 2005-2007 when she majored in English and Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Criminal Justice. She is currently interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Institutional/Organization Psychology.
